One who arranges Aftaar for a fasting person from his legitimate income, angels pray for blessings on him throughout the nights during Ramadan.
Importance of Arranging Aftaar:
The Holy Prophet ﷺsaid: ‘One who arranges Aftaar for a fasting person from his legitimate income, angels pray for blessings on him throughout the nights during Ramadan and Hazrat Jibraelعلیہ السلام prays for him to be blessed.’ In another version it is stated that On the Shab e Qadar, Hazrat Jibraelعلیہ السلام shakes hands with him.
Entry pass for unlimited Jannat: The Holy Prophet ﷺsaid that ‘There are three persons who will not be questioned for what they eat provide their food is Halal, one who fasts, one who wakes up at Sahar and one who performs guard duties in the way of Allah.’
Beverages for Ramadan
Thandai … A famous energetic drink for summers: In case of feeling high temperatures use Thandai. Wrestlers use Thandai for workout. The formula for Thandai is as follows:
ھو الشافی: Peeled almonds:7, peeled seeds of cucumber and musk melon (Tukham Khayareen) : 3 grams, poppy seeds: 3 grams, peeled seeds of pumpkin: 3 grams, black pepper:7. Blend all of these ingredients in 250 ltrs of milk and filter them through a strainer. Sweeten it with sugar for drinking. This drink does not only give satisfaction but is also very energetic for the body.
Aash e Jau (Barley) … A beneficial drink of summers: Aash e Jau is amongst the most famous drinks for summers which is made from Sattoo of Jau (roasted ground barley), water and natural (brown) sugar. Barley water is of great benefit during summers. Boil 60 grams barley in 3 ltrs of water. After 1 or 2 boils remove it from flame, let it cool down and use it. It is very effective for urinal inflammation. Brown sugar beverage is commonly used in summers. In addition for have cool nature, sugar also acts as a source of energy for body by providing glucose. This beverage is also anti constipation. During Ramadan in the morning or at Aftaar use the beverage made with seeds of corn flower (Tukham Balango) and psyllium husk (Isapghol).
